The Undertow

It has been more challenging to write and post over the last few years for a lot of reasons that are below the surface. I'm working to shift that, and hope to post more soon. Perhaps you have found yourself in life's riptides and undertows--difficult to see from the surface and just as difficult to pull yourself out and return to shore. Every move is counterintuitive, it requires patience and attention, and, not to alarm you or anything, but don't panic or you'll drown...

The surface waters of a human being rarely reflect what is happening beneath. Sometimes it's all we can do to keep from drowning. For those who have been along for the ride so far, my gratitude for the companionship and lessons taught.

I'm not much of a swimmer, to be honest. But life doesn't really give a lot of options but to learn.
